Foreign Languages

At Przedszkole i Żłobek Siedmiu Krasnoludków at ul. Irlandzka 7 in Saska Kępa (Warsaw, Praga-Południe district), children aged 2.5–6 learn two foreign languages from the earliest age — English with a native speaker and French in our original Les Petits Français program. Early language learning is an investment in the future — children absorb new sounds and language structures naturally, without the effort typical for adults.

Languages are taught as part of the daily plan, in preschool groups working in the spirit of the 5 pillars of Positive Discipline (Jane Nelsen). We use proven foreign language teaching methods for children: Jolly Phonics (British multisensory phonics, since 1987), TPR (Total Physical Response) by James Asher, daily Circle Time with a native speaker and our original Art Academy program combining art with language.

English — Art Academy

Classes are conducted in English. They are led as part of the original "Art Academy" program by Malgorzata Puszkiewicz. The program combines English learning with arts and crafts — children paint, draw and create artistic projects while naturally absorbing the language.

Classes are conducted entirely in English. Thanks to the immersion method, children become accustomed to natural pronunciation, intonation and language structures. The creative arts component makes learning joyful and engaging — children don't even realize they're learning.

Programme schedule

  • Educational English classes take place 4 times a week.
  • Art Academy for 5- and 6-year-olds runs once a week and lasts a full hour.
  • We also employ native speakers — they are with the children for the full day (8 hours), every day. Children have constant contact with the living language.
  • For those interested (additional fee), we offer English Yoga — yoga in English. Concept, programme and delivery: Malgorzata Puszkiewicz.

How we teach English

01

Jolly Phonics

A British phonics programme used in schools since 1987. Children learn 42 sounds of the English language through a multisensory approach: gestures, songs and stories. The foundation for reading and writing.

02

Circle Time

A daily ritual conducted in English. Greeting, talking about the weather, emotions and plans for the day. The repeatable structure gives children confidence and natural contact with the language.

03

TPR (Total Physical Response)

James Asher's method. Children respond to commands with their bodies before they start speaking. "Stand up! Jump! Touch your nose!" — learning through movement, without pressure to produce language.

04

Drama and songs

Performances, puppet theatre, board and card games, original materials (booklets, illustrations). Play is the context, language is the tool.

05

Art Academy

An original programme by Malgorzata Puszkiewicz combining art with English. Painting, sculpting, building — all instructions in English, with a dual effect: language and artistic development.

French — Les Petits Français

The only French language program for preschool-age children in the Praga-Południe district, delivered in the original "Les Petits Français" program by Agata Szumska — author of the program, an experienced French language specialist who has worked with young children for years.

Classes are conducted through games, songs, rhymes and role-playing — so children learn French in a natural and joyful way. Early contact with a second foreign language develops linguistic flexibility and opens children to other cultures.
